U12 ASIAN CUP IN HIROSHIMA
The Wynrs team is at the opening ceremony of the u12 Asian Cup 2004 in Hiroshima. Mario Hofmann is a captain of the team(in front).
J-League Club Sanfrecce Hiroshima has been hosting the U12 international tournament called Junior Asian Cup every year since 1995. Sanfrecce is Wynrs Coach Hiroshi Miyazawa's old club. Thanks to Miya the Wynrs team was invited to the tournament. The tournament invited a Champion team from China-Shanhai Shinwa and a Korean champion Korai as well as Japanese local teams included Sanfrecce Juniors.
Wynrs Players met Japanese Olympic team stars Morisaki Twins at the Asian Cup opening. Morisaki twins play for Sanfrecce and also both of the players are expected to play in the Athens Olympic in July.
The team won a 4 team group league in the tournament but they lost at the quater final by penalty shootout after the scoreless draw in the full time of the game.
The team moved to Nagoya after the tournament and they stayed a 5 star Toyota corporate hotel. When they woke up at the morning they saw all white in the outside. the team canceled the training and played a snow fight instead. some of the boys touched snow first time.
the Wynrs team played friendly game against the Karia FA selection team at the million doller facility Toyota sports center. The team showed the best performance of the tour and won the game 3-2. Ryosuke Yano scored amazing volley as a winnig goal.
