During the Easter Weekend (9-12 April), Wynrs NZ held their 2nd Kiwi Kick World Cup. The Endeavour Trust Kiwi Kick World Cup, which is played every 2 years, was played at Ericsson Stadium and attracted 2 German National Development teams, as well as teams from Central United, Eastern Suburbs FC and players from Wellington, Marlborough, Blenheim, Hamilton and Napier. The German players and coaches were very impressed with the skill level of the New Zealand players, and said that they could learn some tricks and skills from us. The Tournament was very close and competitive, with many games decided by 'Golden Goals' or a 'Penalty Shootout'.
