When David Beckham comes to town we’re not sure if more girls will fill the stadium than the expected male football fanatics. A true global superstar, David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy will play in Auckland December 6th, 2008. Following on from last years game in Wellington against the Phoenix, which attracted a record crowd of 32,000 spectators, the Auckland Regional Council are hoping to entertain 40,000 or more when the former Manchester United superstar laces up his boots in Auckland at the end of the year. Wynton has been asked to coach the Oceania X1 but a prior commitment with the NZ Homeless World Cup team, playing in Melbourne at the same time, may mean a lost opportunity to witness this amazing event at Mt Smart Stadium. Negotiations are currently taking place to see if the Wynrs NZ founder can help make this game another huge success for football in NZ and the Mt Smart based Oceania Football Confederation.
