CHRIS WOOD STARTS IN SEASON OPENER

Former
WYNRS player and current New Zealand international
Chris Wood has had a dream start to his first
professional season in England. Playing for West
Bromwich Albion in the Championship League the 17
year old was named in the starting line up for the
first league game of the season against fellow
championship new comers Newcastle United.
Chris
played his part in his side’s strong opening
day showing as Newcastle had to come from behind to
draw the game one all with a second half equaliser
from former Chelsea player Damien Duff. Both West
Brom and Newcastle are highly fancied amongst the
favourites to be fighting for premiership promotion
at the end of the season.
