Shane Smeltz visited the WYNRS-office last week.
The 28 year old Striker is one of the most important football-players of the All Whites (15 goals) and carries the hope of NewZealand for the upcoming worldcup in South Africa.
With 19 A League goals for A-League team Gold Coast United, he is currently the record holder for most A League goals in a season.
Today the whole World Cup squad was named by coach Ricky Herbert.
The squad assemble in Auckland on May 19. They travel to Melbourne on May 22 for a match against the Socceroos at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on May 24.
They will then travel to Austria for a pre-World Cup camp and matches against Serbia and Slovenia, before arriving in South Africa on June 6.
