Sunday the 28th March saw a number of Junior teams from the WYNRS academy attend the Hamilton North Football Clubs pre season 7 a side tournament. Representing our Club Onehunga sports we had teams competing in the 9th, 10th and 11th grades. The day proved a great success for the Academy based sides. The 9th grade team made the quarter finals of their competition and both our 11th grade sides made the semi finals of their competition, with the side coached by Mark Jones Lewis reaching the final. The day’s great success came from the 10th grade side that won their championship. Well done to all those involved and we look forward to more stories of great football as the season progresses.
