Jonathan
Coluccio and Stefan Marinovic embark on a journey of
a lifetime. The Wynrs boys (born 1991) left Auckland
last Friday and started their European tour with a
visit to the Zurich, Switzerland “fan
mile” with 50,000 other fans, all witnessing a
1-0 Spanish victory over Germany at the European Cup
Final.
Training will start Monday June 30 at FC Zurich for 1 week (venue of 3 Euro 08 games and former club of Wynton’s from 1982-86) , followed by 2 weeks at 2nd Bundesliga TuS Koblenz. Englishman Colin Bell, Head of Youth Development and good friend of Wynton has said that If the boys impress in Koblenz they will be invited to stay longer as the pre-season (starts July 7th) training will provide Jono and Stefan the perfect opportunity to prove they are good enough to make the grade. A final stint at Blackburn Rovers is also on the cards before the boys are expected home early to mid August.
