The clubs of two ex WYNRS academy stars have gone head to head in pre season action during this last week. Cameron Lindsay’s Blackburn Rovers travelled to Scotland to play Andrew Milne’s Glasgow Rangers side in a pre season friendly.

Unfortunately a ham string injury kept Andrew out of the Rangers team that was beaten 3 nil by Cameron’ s Blackburn Rovers. Cameron started the game at left back and played the first 45 minutes before the whole team was changed at half time as Blackburn look to build the players up for the start of another long season.

Other notable fixture’s for Cameron in pre season are games against Cambridge United, Sunderland, Hearts and a 3 day international tournament down at Shrewsbury. Blackburn open up their league season at home to Chelsea on the 22nd of August. Good luck to the boys for their pre season Running!! Maybe Milney is being smart and will make a miraculous recovery from his injury when the footballs make an appearance at training!!
