Another big upset for what looked to be the next world cup holders (Argentina).
Argentina have so many rememberable days with world class football hero Diego Maradona, But unfortunately Argentina were played out by the young guns of Germany.With 4 unbelievable goals scored and the better football played by Germany, it was definitely a sad way for Argentina to leave the world cup. Final score 4-0 to Germany. Goal scorers 2x Klose,Muller,Friedrich.

Brazil losing to Holland was another upset for South America, the Dutch were alot better prepared.
A classy goal from Robinho put Brazil in front with confidence, but an own goal brought both teams level again. With chances from both teams but not finding the back of the net. Wesley Sneijder had no problem to smash the winning goal home. Holland won 2-1 against Brazil.
