Train and Play the WYNRS Way!
WYNRS has 20+ years experience in international football. We provide a Pathway to Professional Football for many talented young boys and girls. Many international players have accredited WYNRS for providing the groundwork needed to boost their careers.
Chris Wood (English Premier League, NZ All Whites) - "Wynrs taught me to kick with both feet …”
Liam Jordan (European Professional) - “ I was fortunate to tour overseas as a youth player with Wynrs to places like Australia, Japan, Germany & Turkey. The trips laid a great foundation for where I am today…”
Sarpreet Singh (Germany) - “ I had a fantastic youth development thanks to Wynton & Wynrs…”
LIVING the DREAM
Fifa awarded NZ the hosting rights to the Under 17 boys World Cup in 1999.
Within days of this announcement in early 1997, I had a dream.
To summarise God inspired me to return to NZ in May 1997.
There were several goals I thought of which related to my dream:
# set up youth development programs NZ wide
# train individual youth players to become world class talent and world class community citizens
# set up my own academy
# help the poor & under privileged
The Wynrs Academy has trained 1000’s of players with quite a few of them becoming pro footballers.
Many others have represented NZ at U17 or U20 Fifa World Cups. Others have played in the Olympic Games for NZ or for the All Whites & Football Ferns.
Wynrs helped at least 8 players to get football scholarships in the USA.
The first Wynrs player to get a pro contract was Michael Fitzgerald from Mt Roskill, Auckland who was born in 1989.
Chris Wood followed soon after, as did my own son Caleb Rufer who was a pro for 3 years.
Our training program focus is on individual player development. The pathway in Auckland for our players at Wynrs goes through Metro FC and Auckland City. This is inline with the NZ Football academy licensing system for NZ football clubs.
Make sure you have fun ️ along the pathway to living your dream...

Our Wynrs Saturday Kiwi Kick consists of small sided games where players are given the chance to improve on their teamwork and game understanding.
Our refs will always encourage the following rules:
Half way rule: Each team member needs to be over the halfway line in order to score a goal.
Three second rule: There will be no goalies so players are not allowed to stand in the goal for longer than 3 seconds!
Kick-ins: Each time the ball is out, players must make a pass from the outline.
If you turn up late, then your son/daughter will risk missing the first half of the game so please be on time!
Players attending Saturday Kiwi Kick must be committed every Saturday and to at least two training's each week - If you're unable to attend Saturday Kiwi Kick for any reason, you must communicate with us through email or text.
